The Roxy’s reputation for presenting the very best in live entertainment is steadily gaining momentum. Live performances continued to grow in popularity with a number of shows selling out quickly.
There are numerous highlights from events held over the past years, some of which include the live performances Wild World – The Cat Stevens Story, A Stretch of the Imagination with John Wood, The Jungle Book, and quite unforgettably, Menopause the Musical, which was enjoyed by over 600 highly entertained audience members.
The Roxy was delighted to welcome back the actor
John Wood who returned to Bingara to film a segment for a new Foxtel television series “As Australian As.”
John could have chosen anything or anywhere in the country to feature in the series, but chose to share his passion for the venue, that has found its way into his heart, with the rest of Australia. During his visit, The Roxy was proud to present John with the inaugural Bogie – the Bingara Logie, as a token of its appreciation for John’s continued interest and support.
This will not be The Roxy’s first appearance on celluloid. In October 2009 the venue made its debut on the big screen in the feature film “Charlie and Boots” starring Paul Hogan and Shane Jacobson. The red carpet “premiere” was held at The Roxy featuring a number of the Bingara ‘celebrities’ who performed as extras in the film.
